Switchboard Fire Suppression
Electrical switchboards are at the heart of any building or facility, and in the event of a failure, businesses are faced with significant disruption and cost.
Electrical switchboard fires can be very destructive with the only option available being replacement which can often take weeks incurring significant downtime costs.
Bremca designs, installs, and maintains specialised switchboard fire suppression systems.
A Bremca fire suppression solution is self-contained, internationally certified, and environmentally friendly.
In the event of a fire, the discharged suppression agent is specifically designed for use with electrical componentry and is non-corrosive, non-conductive and will not damage any part of the switchboard unaffected by the extinguished fire.

Pneumatically Actuated Fire Suppression System - PAFSS®.
PAFSS – (Pneumatically Actuated fire suppression system) it is a pressurised direct lineal system designed especially for switchboards with multiple enclosed sections or cells such as Form 3 or Form 4 type segregated boards.
The unique detection tubing is used as both the detector and the agent distributor providing an unlimited number of detection points along its length. Its flexible nature means it can be located adjacent to identified risk areas, providing fast automatic detection, through to the suppression of the fire.
The extinguishant is a clean agent, offering a combination of efficiency, safety, and is certified environmentally friendly.
PAFSS requires no power supply for detection or actuation, remaining operational during a power interruption. It is simple to install and maintain on both new and existing equipment.
FirePro Fire Suppression
FirePro systems are environmentally friendly and ideal for both conventional and non-conventional applications that were once considered to not be technically feasible or economically viable.
Fire is suppressed using the direct method of acting on the flame free radicals and interrupting the chemical chain reactions on a molecular level, causing the suffocation of the fire.
The modular, pre-engineered FirePro systems have undergone tests and are certified according to the most stringent international standards and requirements and are suitable for new installations but provide the flexibility of being easily retrofitted to existing switchboards or control panels.
Retro-Fit Solutions
Our specialist service team can assist with evaluating an engineered fire suppression solution for existing switchboard installations.
Installation can be undertaken in conjunction with the client to minimise interruption to their business and may even facilitate a reduction in business asset insurance premiums.
